The Northside at Merrimon

Wonderful property management team with exceptional customer service and resident engagement. That said I was unhappy with the age of the property, specifically the creakiness of the hardwood floors and stairs, as well as the relatively expensive energy costs associated with older properties and their outdated insulation. Namely, the natural gas bill for winter-time heating. Lastly, the apartment complex can do nothing about this, but the lack of a restroom fan in the bathroom and the size of... the bathroom overall and round-style toilet. I would highly recommend this apartment for the single urban dweller or tiny young single-family. Decent amenities for the price, but if they found a way to incorporate a once weekly trash pick up so that residents didn’t have to walk 10 miles to the dumpster nearest their apartment—for maybe an added surcharge—that would be incredible! Northside Merrimon is a friendly community. Its secure. The staff at the facility are very competent and helpful. The location is very convenient as well, just 2 miles from Asheville downtown.

Love it here, staff are great, location is great, rent is one of the more affordable in asheville. Love that its walkable, which is rare for an Asheville neighborhood.

Move in was easy, office administration was friendly and helpful, and when my porch light burnt out, it got fixed the next day. A dream compared to where I moved from and I really appreciate how easy it is to reach someone.

Great communication, easy move in, and even better location! I have only lived here for a couple of days but can proudly say that the community is kind, and made me feel at home!
