Sure, the houses are nice but and the staff seems friendly enough but that’s where the positive notes end. Throughout my lease term I’ve faced additional charges added that are not in the original agreement, a company who violates their own lease agreement, and parking issues that are completely ignored.
Let’s start with the fees. Since I’ve started my lease, 3 new... fees have been brought up. Trash-cans on the exterior of your home? $10 per day so you have to bring this in your garage. This was started without proper notice therefore violating the lease agreement. Pest control $25/ month which will be mandatory after renewing but can start now. Insurance charges even after providing my own policy.
Now about the issues - when I moved in simple things about the home were wrong. Plugs for appliances didn’t work, the doorbell was wired incorrectly causing a constant buzz, a cracked window, no air filters, missing light covers, a Radon test and more. Lawn “maintenance” is a joke - backyards are mud pits.
How about parking? Trash pickup is missed because the garbage truck can’t get down the street. Neighbors have to sound their horn all hours of the evening just to get down the street. An average-size vehicle can’t get down the road with the number of cars parked on the side. Sure when you tour during the day it’s fine but when everyone comes home? Good luck. Towing signs are put up but nothing is enforced.
The management can use some lessons on communicate and need to read their own lease before having people sign their life away. If you are buying a house especially do not rent here. If you have to move out early you’re stuck with a 60-day notice, 2 month rent fee (rent for these 4 months due the day of your notice) and lose your deposit. That’s FIVE months of rent.
