If I could get zero stars, I would
One star.
From day one, this neighborhood has been nothing but problems. Even before I officially moved in, I arrived with all my belongings only to find out they did not even have a lease ready for me to sign.
When I first moved in in 2024, my toilet was broken, and I was told I could not use my bathroom at all. Since then, the issues have only continued. At the end of July 2025, I was forced to move into a new unit, and this unit has been just as bad, if not worse.
Since moving into my current... unit, there have been roach issues, and management tried to tell me I would have to pay for pest control even though the problem existed before I moved in. My roommates, who have lived here for about a year and a half, confirmed they have had the same roach problem since they moved in and have repeatedly asked for it to be fixed.
There are also major maintenance issues that are being ignored. The downstairs flooring is coming up. There have been black spots in my shower since I moved in, and they continue to get worse. Our mailbox has been broken since I moved into this unit, there is not even a lock on it, and despite reporting this issue, it still has not been fixed. I have been living here since the end of July. We also did not have hot water for the first month and a half of living in this unit, and it was only fixed after I complained multiple times.
Management is extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. Their problem-handling skills are very poor, and they do not take accountability for anything. There are only two people in the leasing office who are actually pleasant to deal with. The maintenance team is very nice, but they can only do so much when management refuses to take issues seriously.
Since management switched, things have gotten significantly worse. I genuinely believe this neighborhood should not be associated with UNCC. This has been a stressful and frustrating living experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
