Gaslight & Mendenhall

My husband and I moved to Greensboro because he will be getting a masters degree from UNCG. This apartment is very close to campus, but not near where undergraduate students live. It's a great price for a good sized 2 bedroom apartment. It has been recently updated, has nice wood floors and a new kitchen. My only complaints are that there is no dishwasher, there is not much storage space and there are too few electrical outlets. All minor inconveniences though - overall we love it here so far!

The gas light apartments on Friendly Ave are really well done; I'm not sure when they were refinished, but they have received a major upgrade in the last few years or so. The only downside to our building is that we can hear the apartment upstairs fairly well; we cannot hear conversations, but we hear them walking around very clearly. Additionally, there's no dishwasher. And there could be a few more electrical outlets (most notably in the bathroom, where there are none.) So, I guess there's... more than one downside; but overall it is a very nice apartment. Excellent price for the amount of square footage you're getting. Great proximity to UNCG and "center city" GSO as well. Read More
