Huntsview/Living Well Homes: A Closer Look at Tenant Concerns

Subpar Living Conditions

• Huntsview/Living Well Homes provided unsatisfactory living conditions, including a mistaken unit assignment, delayed repairs, and prolonged amenity closures.

Billing and Lease Irregularities

• Rent invoices contained frequent billing errors, and lease renewals were sent late, disregarding the required 90-day notice.

Inaccurate Final Billing

• Despite providing a 30-day move-out notice as per the… month-to-month lease terms, the final bill included incorrect charges and fees.

Security Deposit Issues

• The return of the security deposit has yet to happen despite my keys being turned in March 2nd 2024. There were unexpected deductions and additional charges added to my statement without proper explanation or opportunity for the tenant to be present during the two final walkthrough inspections. I have been trying to dispute these charges but the lack of communication from the property manager is making it very difficult, thus the reason I am leaving this review. This place is actual worst. Property management changes constantly. They keep hiring people who have no idea what they're even doing. Maintenance team changes constantly. Again, more people who have no idea what they're doing. No one picks up the phone. The office isn't open during the hours they say they are.

I've had 5 major maintenance issues since living here, huge cockroaches in my apartment no one did anything about, they "replaced" the screens years ago with screens that had more holes… and were even more warped. The buildings look like hell. The renovation on my apartment wasn't even completed all the way before I moved in. The pool has been broken for over a month now with no end in sight to fix it. The grounds are well kept. The apartment was clean and neat when we moved in. Very spacious and our agent, Ms Natalie, was so sweet and helpful. And the price we locked in for our 2B/2B was a good deal in this area. Would highly recommend to view the property and lease.

This property is run by completely incompetent staff and that's being nice. The property manager and assistant property manager are useless. The owner lives in Canada and is super cheap and will not put any money into repairs. Don't be fooled by the nice and pretty leasing office and their smiles. This place has changed property managers more times than you can wash your hands. Absolutely no repairs are made. You have to keep calling and the majority of the time, they do not answer their phones… or give excuse after excuse when they do finally decide to answer their phone. They give you false promises that the repairs will get done only to pacify you, but only to realize it's one big lie. The HVAC (air conditioning/heating system) unit in my apt has been broken and is inoperable since I've moved into the apt unbeknownst to me and I have been given excuse after excuse, reason after reason why the air conditioning/heating system does not work. This is not only happening in my apt but multiple apts are having the same issues. Antiquated air conditioning/heating units. Some units as old as 1977. It is currently 90 degrees in my apt and the property management nor owner could care less. Not a single word from them when the HVAC unit will be replaced. In the Winter months, it is absolutely frigid. They do not even bother salting the ice on the ground during snow storms during the winter months. You are slip sliding all over frozen and iced walkways, stairways, and roads. Right now, It is cooler outside then it is inside my apt. These HVAC units are 35 years old and they won't put a dime into fixing their own property and equipment. The rent goes up year after year ridiculously high by almost $ 100 per month. These apartments are not even worth half of what they are asking for. You have to pull teeth to get any repairs made. This complex has gone to hell in a hand basket under this property management. This is just an investment property for the owner. I don't recommended under any circumstance considering this place. Don't waste your time and precious money. It's just one problem after another, with constant headaches and stress trying to deal with them to get simple repairs made. I’ve been completely and utterly ignored by property management to provide a resolution to these issues.
