DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
I have been trying to secure a townhome-style apartment with this company for about 2 months. The first townhome-style I toured was nice, but it rented out before I could secure it. I toured another one and wasn't pleased. This one was the same monthly fee as the first one, but it was severely less updated. Both of these were at the North Point location. I decided against it and waited to see if there was anything else that would be available. I was told at the beginning of April that another... unit at the hallmark location would be available after it received an inspection. I was told that the inspection was scheduled for the 30th, so I waited. I called every week or so to check in on this apartment. Each and every time, I was told the same thing. I had asked if even before seeing the apartment, I could secure it by putting in an application early and putting down a deposit. I am trying to find a place for me and my soon-to-be wife to live and start out at together. I was told that because the inspection had not been performed, I could not put in an application or a deposit. I called back on the 30th and the inspection was to be pushed back further. I called back on May 2nd to clarify some information and was told that the hallmark apartment had been rented. I asked how it was possible since it hadn't been inspected yet. I was told that someone put in an application early, and put down a deposit. The exact thing I had tried to do almost a month prior. This company has shown me that they don't care about people's lives or how their actions affect others. I am done wasting my time with them, and I strongly urge you not to waste yours. The woman who I dealt with is named Gene, and she was one of the least friendly, and least helpful people I have dealt with. Every time I would call, she would get more and more annoyed that I wanted to know the status of the apartment. Over the times that I called, she made it clear that it was not her job to know the details of the apartment status, even though thats exactly what her job is. If my future investment and commitment to this company is so frustrating and annoying to her, maybe she shouldn't be dealing with people who rely on her to make long term housing decisions. The 1 star is too much praise for this company, but it's the lowest I can go.
