The review calling this Knightvest Residential and giving it a review is a fake review placed by the new owners. Here is the real review as a current, super unhappy resident.

Since Knightvest Residential moved in, this community has never been worse. They have talked a lot about the improvements, but what are those? They purchased new furniture and renovated the front office and painted the exterior. They have also gutted the Tennis Courts in favor of novelty items which are already, 3 weeks... in, showing wear and tear. Why? The owners moved from Texas and use part of that rent to fund socials down there. How do I know? The millions of emails I’ve asked to not receive.

The maintenance staff is the exact same. I’m not sure why they would pretend it isn’t, as I can provide correspondence stating otherwise. This is the maintenance group who has so far resolved issues in my house by doing things like super gluing a door and spray painting rust. I reported a leak 3 times and it’s still leaking.

The interiors are ancient and there is no ventilation system for the bathrooms. The washer and dryer are the same. The front office staff is absentee at best.

The only thing that has gone up here is the rent. The rent here, with only exterior painting and self servicing updates to their own office, has gone up 300 dollars. Yes. That is the legitimate number.

The maintenance is the absolute worst in the world. DO NOT trust them to do even the simplest jobs. This is the same idiot group that spray painted over rust in a sink, I guess forgetting running water went through there. Through a sink. Yea. Let that sink in. The changes and renovations they claim? It’s an actual lie: this went towards painting the exteriors and updating their office space. They took out a basketball and tennis court in favor of a tacky outdoor area where they spam you with... emails to come to crappy events hosted by the bored owners. Since Knightvest Residential took over in September 25, 2020. There have been many improvements in the quality of community living. The outside of the building have been power washed and painted. There have been a complete renovation of the community clubhouse. With the addition of a complete workout area. The whole place has been spiffed up to reflect the upscale living one would expect for Northwest Raleigh. I will say that it took a few months to get the current Management Team that is now... staffing the complex in place. But they have been bringing about the changes that have turned this into premiere community. I have lived through three ownership groups. This is the fourth management team and this one tries the hardest to make your living experience here fantastic. I would not hesitate to say that conditions are better than they have ever been.

One of the things that make or breaks a community is the maintenance staff. The current team is fantastic in handling problems. The maintenance staff gets to any need repair or problem in an extremely timely manner. I love living here, as the community is on the banks of beautiful Lake Lynn. Where there is a 2.2 mile hiking and biking path around the lake. Many people fish and boat on the lake. The Retreat Apartment Home Complex has tennis and basketball courts, a 24 hour fitness center, and a wash pit to clean and vacuum your car or truck. Again, everything has been great since we moved in here last August (2019). Our apartments have both been clean and well-kept. Rent is appropriate but affordable, and the community is clean and comfortable. My favorite part is the easy-access to the Lake Lynn trail!

Maintenance has always replied to my service requests in a timely & courteous manner
