If you like fire alarms going off every week

The place has a nice view but the fire alarm goes off ALL THE TIME. Middle of the night, during the day when working and no one is addressing the malfunction in the building, although they say they are. This has been going on for a year.

They are turning over the apartments to condos, I wouldn't suggest living here.

It's true we had several fire alarms during this period due to a mix of mechanical problems and residents burning food which set off some of the alarms. Someone also pulled the fire alarm pull as a practical joke. We worked as diligently as possible... to address the mechanical issues and worked to make residents aware not to burn food. Additionally, we put new vendors in place to support and maintain the fire alarm and sprinkler systems with very good results.

Great Apartment!

I've lived at Overlook almost a year now and have been very pleased so far with property management, property amenities, property security and property location. With a home in downtown Wilmington with a view of the Cape Fear River and just steps away from all that our Historic Downtown has to offer, including a parking spot, at a fair price with management taking care of issues in a timely fashion included, you too will be happy. Did I mention the rooftop pool and gym?

Fabulous and Functional Space

I am new to Wilmington and to North Carolina. I look for a good location / clean and functional space / pool / amenities / positive Management group. I have found all of the above and more in Overlook at River Place. I would keep this property on your search list and make an appointment. My puppy and I moved in this week and we are comfortable and happy and have a very nice view! Enjoy!

Best place to live downtown

Overlook isn't the fanciest interior compared to the other apartments along the riverwalk. However, you cannot beat the view from the rooftop that has a pool and hot tub. In addition to this, the location is so perfect. It's within walking distance to all of the restaurants/bars versus the other locations which are further down and well if you're drunk I would not recommend walking that far out especially along. Whereas Overlook is an easy walk to everything. In addition, it's great area for... dogs and the people that live in the building are so kind and pleasant.
