Arbors Apartments

We did a lot of searching before choosing the Arbors. Maintenance is good about getting work orders done, office staff made moving a BREEZE! Lots of communication before and during move in. For the price, we were unable to find anything that could compare. Neighbors are nice as well.

Our daughter lived her for almost 3 years. When she 1st moved in, the grounds and apartments appeared well maintained but that quickly changed. They stopped taking care of the landscaping and outside of the buildings. The side was brown from dirt, the sidewalks were covered in mud or dirt we d dirt depending on the weather, and getting maintenance to actually fix something was impossible. They come do bandaid repairs and are not really trained or competent to do the repair work so you are left... with something that looks terrible or continues to be a problem. If that doesn't bother you thr crime in and around the neighborhood will. They'll down play the issues with cars getting broken into and other issues (2 or more episodes where people were shot at in the area) but the Winston-Salem PD encouraged our daughter to move saying it was not safe for her to live there, especially is coming and going at night. I loved my apartment here until I started running into maintenance issues. It takes several, repeated maintenance requests even for emergencies and a long time to get anything done. Some examples, my fridge was turned off for 12 hours, I had to call THREE times during the course of the day for someone to finally come check it. But that’s not even the worst, not even close. I had black mold growing on my vent in my bedroom so I called and told the office, they sent someone down to change the vent... cover. Okay so the mold grows back, obviously there’s moisture coming from somewhere. I have to call three more times for someone to FINALLY come and change the vent cover once again. (I’m currently waiting to see if the mold returns since last time it returned in a matter of weeks). Lastly, I have a mouse. Okay I call and tell the office that I see the mouse in the kitchen they ask where and I tell them they say they will send someone right away. Well three hours later and no one has come so I have to call AGAIN for maintenance to come take care of it and all they do is place a trap between the fridge in counter and leave and say pest control will come out. A week later and pest control has never come to the apartment and I still have the mouse as evidenced by droppings in my counters!! I have bad allergies and since living here I’ve been constantly congested and having migraines. I usually never write a bad review or reviews in general but I’m fed up. I have lived here for 2 years. I have had constant problems with the AC unit and management refuses to fix it. I am constantly seeing cockroaches around my apartment. Staff have yet to replace my air filter despite them claiming to regularly replace it. This place is such a hassle to live at and constantly report issues to the leasing office, just to have them dismiss you.
