Southwood Village Apartments

I moved in a couple of months ago and love living here. The property staff are incredible! They are truly thoughtful, caring, fair and kind. Especially Nina, Isaiah, and CJ. I've gotten to spend time with other tenants at the pool already and they love it also. It saddens me that people only tend to write reviews when things go bad and from only one perspective. The staff has been so amazing they deserve some positive feedback?. The grounds are so pretty and well kept. Nina is truly... passionate about making sure our home is beautiful. It is horrible to live here. The apartment itself is decent but the management is awful! It's been 9 mo the since we asked them to fix our shower! The wiring and cable are all kinds of messed up and we have had to pay to fix all of it on our own dime.. they are incredibly un friendly and rude. The bushes are so overgrown it completely blocks one of the doors. The whole place is also infested with hornets and wasps.. we have asked them many times to take care of all the bees and it is still a... huge problem. The staff was nice during the showing and made us feel welcome but the day we moved in they forgot we were even coming and couldn't find our keys! Only to finally get moved in and our stove wasn't even plugged in! It was not professionally painted because the tiles they painted in our shower literally just washes away and the rest of the apartment is just as bad, there is paint all over the doors and vents. The hot water is spotty and goes cold in an instant then 5min later will get hot again. The pool is always riddled with bugs and bees so are the entryways. There used to be a picnic table by the basketball court and now lies an empty cement block and some unusable grills. The front door is not even close to sealed and I pay crazy amounts for air because I'm cooling the hallway too! The porch door doesn't shut all the way and I've been asking them to fix it since I moved in almost a year ago. The windows are cheep and rattle just when kids are playing in the lawn. The laundry rooms in the building are .50 cheer than the ones in the clubhouse but they are so unbelievably filthy and gross. The master bed room only has one I'll working air vent and if the door is closed overnight in the summer the room gets so hot the walls sweat even with the air on at 65! In the winter it gets so cold in that room that you have to use space heaters because the window is so poorly sealed. We were also put on awaiting list when we moved in to get a garage and they openly admitted they had forgotten to write us down on the list. When they finally did they openly admitted we were skipped over by accident! They have no organization at all. They have even come in my apartment to spray for bugs and left my door wide open.. This is a horrible place to live. I pay a lot of money for such a horrible place to live. I can't wait till my 18months is up.
