Chateau at Hillsborough

My partner and I are soon moving into this apartment and we are very excited!

The property manager Mary is the most helpful manager I have ever met. She has made everything simple and transparent for us.

We were able to schedule a self guided tour in a nice model unit which was very helpful in our decision making process.

coming from out of state, me and my fiancee moved into Chateau, and it was the best choice we couldve made. We had a very spacious 1 bedroom, remodeled, open concept apartment. But, that's not the best part. The best part is the community and people that are at Chateau. Mary is PHENOMENAL. If you need maintenance is fast and efficient. The community events are AMAZING. It's truly a family community. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about living there. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been a renter/ tenant for almost 3 years and I can honestly say that this is the best placed I’ve had the pleasure of living at. I’ve rented in many states/ cities, including Maine, Vermont, North Carolina, and New York City, but nothing compares to the Chateau and here’s why… The apartment is more like a neighborhood than a “complex.” They are high quality, very spacious, safe/ secure apartments, and on a well-kept property (cheers to our great landscapers)! But perhaps the greatest… reason why this is a true gem is because of Mary (property manager). Mary treats every problem that comes her way as a new opportunity to make things right. She has a way of approaching a problem from a different angle or experimenting with an out-of-the-box solution. Moreover, she is highly relatable, communicates through texts/emails/ or community flyers, extremely understanding, and builds relationships based on trust and respect. My two toddlers ask me daily go visit, “Mary in the Office!” We are so thankful for Mary because she encourages our little neighborhood to attend monthly parties and events catered to both kids and adults (my favorite is always sushi night)! Thanks to the events, I know and enjoy living with my neighbors who are on a first name basis. Well were to begin! Let’s start out at with are first 7 months were wonderful and great things that needed fixed or any maintenance was addressed very fast and Mary in the office was wonderful to work with, but now the true colors are coming out. My wife and I had contacted Mary in the office to let her know that the tenants up stair sound like a Herd of Buffalos going across the floor and she stated she would talk with them. Let’s say it NEVER GOT BETTER and at least 10 plus phone calls made to… the office. Mary did however ask if we could exchange phone numbers after like the 3rd or 4th complaint as the neighbors upstairs complained back to her (I guess when she spoke with them that my soundbar was shaking their walls) and her boss told her if we can’t work it out both of us would be written up, so ok I turn my sound bar to zero bass. Well the upstairs tenant still loud, so my wife texted the numbers we were provided and she got back (my kids are playing and it’s not outside of quiet time, so we have multiple recordings for what it sounds like. Still nothing was done. Then we did end up working it out with the neighbors ourselves no thanks to management. We had an issue with ac which started on 8/22. It’s now 9/2 and still no ac. Called emergency number yesterday and was called by maintenance man who thought it was funny when I stated it’s too hot for me in this apt at 80 degrees with my medical conditions. He said it wasn’t uninhabitable without the ac and basically there wasn’t nothing they could do for us until the part came in. They offered nothing no extra fans, no hotel, nothing. It’s 84 degrees in my apartment and I’m in a hotel paid for by my own money since they have offered nothing. Read More
