Get Everything in Writing

New management is an exceptionally unprofessional nightmare. The landlord entered my apartment without notice while I was gone. After making promises for repairs, the landlord rarely followed up. My water was turned off 3 times within one week without notice, and with loud construction carrying on hours past 8pm. There was sediment in my bathroom water that was never properly addressed. In winter, the snow was seldom shoveled even though that was promised in the lease. Even though it was also... written in my lease that I could pay rent via check, I was forced to pay via the online system – after which I had a surprise 2.95% monthly “convenience charge” removed from my security deposit.

This is a great neighborhood and the folks that live in the building are super nice, but this was an exceptionally bad renting experience, so please just be aware beforehand – for both this property and any other in Omaha rented by Cascade Real Estate Group. I do not think they intend to be so terrible, but they definitely have massive communication problems. Should you rent here, best of luck and get EVERYTHING in writing.
