Fine apartment, bad owner

The apartment itself is fine. It's in a convenient area, which was it's biggest draw for me.
However, I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth after 3 years of living here. It took me an extra day to move my stuff out, and the owner Jason went nuts. The night we moved, he said I needed to drive to Red Bank to drop off the key or else he'd get an eviction on my record. Just that kind of threatening, dramatic person.

I am still owed money from my security deposit, but my roommate got hers… back. There's a surprise $100 "extra day fee" which was never mentioned. I'm really upset with the way they handle things in general, and this is just one of the many ways in which it shows.

** If you like water pressure in your shower, this is not the place for you.
** The washing machines and dryers downstairs never work. I was stuck with a broken machine full of soaking wet clothing twice before I gave up and started going to the laundromat. Laundromat is cheaper, too.
** Upstairs apartments get HOT in both winter and summer.

Renewed with a multi year lease

The apartments are a bit small but nicely kept and the apartment management is very responsive to requests and concerns.

I don't use the laundry facilities though they seem clean. I figure if I'm going to take my laundry outside, it's just as easy to tote everything to the laundromat. The only grumble which isn't enough to take off any stars is that the heat is kept rather high. But hey, windows open and I'm not paying for the heat so I can't really complain.
