Newport rental has become the worst property management in Jersey City. They are known for charging obnoxious and crazy amounts in the security deposit, without presenting any proof. When asked to produce receipts and photos, they will go to any length to avoid answering or producing evidence. This is a clear shakedown by an unregulated management company that is using its unrestricted power to strong-arm tenants. This is embarrassing for such a company, and I know so many people like me who are... helplessly fighting this evil management to return our hard earned money.

Rats are a problem all around the building my son named the entrance the rat race! I am terrified at night but they r there in the morning also

I've been in my current apartment for 5 years now and I can say overall, the experience has been great.
Pros: the doormen and staff are incredibly kind, friendly people. They are responsive whenever there's an issue. Additionally, the building is kept tidy and clean.
Cons: the walls are thin. There were times I heard our neighbors in the hallway and loudly playing music. Plus, folks on my floor are terrible at breaking down cardboard boxes for the paper recycling. A lot of times, they toss... trash in the wrong bins. Outside of the apartment building, the pedestrian path by the shore can get incredibly crowded and dog owners are irresponsible at picking up after their dogs.

Newport is a beautiful community to live in . Rents might be high but so is the experience of living in Newport. We live in Roosevelt and have a homely feeling in mid of city

Love the area, the buildings, and the staff are really kind & helpful. It's great that I can feel safe walking around at any time of the day.
