Pricy - very outdated appliances - but very homey

I have lived here for around 5 months now. In a 1bd1ba. So far its a positive experience. I would recommend living here

Pros:
I feel very safe here. My packages are always there and sometimes packages can stay at the front door (inside) for days and nobody touches other peoples stuff. One time someone dropped some groceries in the hallway and nobody picked it up for a day. People dont take what isnt their’s. I sometimes leave for work at 5am-6am and feel very safe here.

Maintenance is a… blessing, and management (Aimee so far. Haven’t emailed anyone else yet) has been very professional and very quick to get back to me with any questions.

Cons:
The price…

For the price we are paying it leaves a lot to be desired.

The refrigerator is very small and doesnt seem to fit in its place and the oven is very outdated and doesn’t even have anything to let you know when its at the right temperature.
No elevator for move in (learned this the hard way)

No trash chutes

BEWARE HIDDEN CHARGES

Our original "move-in amount" for a 2BR on our welcome letter was around $1500 including a non-refundable fee for having a pet. I am writing this review after being told that my move-in date has been delayed 1 week. I was sent a second welcome letter, and now the "move-in amount" has DOUBLED to over $3,000. This second letter includes a nearly $2,000 charge for my second month's rent. When the leasing agent was contacted about this charge, we were informed that this additional $2,000 charge does… not goes towards rent, and that we will still need to pay the rent amount for that second month. So they attempted to charge us DOUBLE RENT and take an additional $2,000 from us. The leasing agent also remarked, "The only thing you need to be concerned about is that this move-in amount has to be paid or else I'm not allowed to hand the keys over to you."

I know some people had good experiences here, but after this experience I felt morally obligated to warn other potential renters. We already lost $100 on our non-refundable application, luckily we didn't send the $250 yet for them to hold the apartment for us. From what I have been through with this place, the only people I would advise doing business here are those who love throwing their money away.

Great living experience!

Lived at Mi place for 5 years. Jess and Joe make a great team and always make sure the community is top notch. As long as they are here as managers I won’t be going anywhere.

Was a tenant for 3 years, never had any issues. Maintence on time, friendly staff all around a great experience. Especially for military!

Great Living

Management was very helpful and understanding with any and all issues. VERY military friendly! Has a very safe and homey feel to it. They have many different floor plans that’ll suit almost everyone’s wants and needs. Definitely would recommend to anyone that is looking to stay in a nice, quiet, and relatively new apartment.
