MDR Apartments

I moved into Marina del Rel my first year of college to dodge some tuition fees at school. Till this day it was one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. The apartment was adorable and spacious (lots of natural light and character), at a very reasonable price. The management staff is always helpful, pleasant, and professional. (They even kept weekend hours, which often came in handy). The complex is located in the perfect spot, literally within walking distance to public transportation,… convince stores, and restaurants. Nice, quiet community. Marina del Rey is great for singles, students, and small families in my opinion. I've even recommended it to a few friends and they've had great experiences as well. The rent was decent priced but there was often crime in this area. Can be noisy as well. Apartment had a roach problem but I kept my apartment clean so I rarely saw them. They do have an exterminator that comes every month, (they do notify you when they are coming in advance) but honestly I think they are helping the infestation more than eliminating it. Never had an issue of getting things fixed, always came on time. I only moved due to me expecting a child, needed more space. It wasn't bad… overall but the noise, crime (drug dealing, a few shootings)I'm used to being in a crime area but the crime wasn't bad. But it's not nonexistent here either. oh and the parking was bad. If you came home after about 10pm don't expect to park in front of your building. Inconvenient for me at the time being pregnant, but not everyone is bothered by this. I would recommend it. Read More
