The Lodge at McCarran Ranch Apartment Homes is an apartment community in Reno, NV
this location is great in offering easy access to restaurants, retail establishments, and public transit. the pool and fitness center in specific are excellent attributes to the community. Sheila is very accommodating, and maintenance is quick to respond to work orders, taking care of issues before they arise. all in all a lovely place to live. office staff is very welcoming, would definitely recommend.

Property is nice staff are rude
Been here for some time. Watched as the neighbors and staff have changed. The manager is extremely rude. Yells and screams at you and blames you, the tenant for every fault even when she is breaking the law. Corporate does not respond to voicemails or emails . The maintenance men all complain about how many work orders the small complex has because everything is so worn down and old. Sometimes it takes months to get a repair done. If you say they have no permission to enter they come inside your... house anyways! The property has animals of all kinds but over the last 3-4 months people have stopped picking up their dog poop so there is poop everywhere! Side walks, grass, rock areas. You tell the office and they don't do anything. If there is a problem you're supposed to be able to communicate this to the manager who's job is to insure the complex is kept clean and up to date for future tenants as well as current residents. This is not the case. All she will tell you is if you have a problem you can move instead of actually trying to fix the problem which is part of her job.
Unfortunately Alot if people are in the same boat and stuck here because rates have increased everywhere and moving isn't an option. If someone insists on making their job in real estate/property management they should probably learn how to treat the people they service.

0/10 Do not recommend
Expect a massive rent increase every year that you are there if not the rent then expect your sewer, trash, and water to make up for the price increase. Sidewalks will never get salted during the winter, so be prepared for a skating rink. Everything is outdated - from the appliances to the amenities, for the price you pay, you can go 10 minutes south of Reno and be in luxury. FYI homeless people will always walk around on the property and leave trash everywhere. Also, the property went to... non-smoking however the maintenance team will sit on their golf carts and smoke every stop they make. Lastly, hope you enjoy people that do not live on the property or near it to be camped in their motor homes all around the premises!

I'd never live here again
When we first moved in everything seemed very nice. Except the fact that our move in date got pushed out twice by them. There were the normal first couple of days of checking out to see if anything needed to be fixed and of course there was. It took them 4 months before they even came to start fixing things and there was a lot. One of the biggest complaints was the fact that the seam of the sliding glass door leaked all across the top which meant it would soak the carpet when it would rain. The... walls had marks that weren't painted. The screen in the kids room had big holes in it that never got fixed the whole year we lived there. The dryer would have to be ran 4 to 5 times just to dry things it didn't matter if there was a lot or a few things in it and this is just a few things. The only positive thing I have to say is the office staff was great at communication but that doesn't help if what is being said never has follow through. When we moved out the things that never got fixed we got charged for including water damage to the carpet by the sliding glass door, what a shocker. So basically their lack of interest in fixing things cost us a lot of money that was their responsibility.

Bitter sweet!!
I've lived here almost 4 years now. It has been a great experience in all facets except one area! Unfortunately my rent has been raised considerably every year I've been here (over $200). That coupled with the water, trash and sewage (which has also tripled in $$) which the residents are responsible to pay, I can no longer afford it so I will have to move. Be aware,,, rent will go up every year you are here. I've never lived somewhere, that this has been like this. To say the least, I'm very... disappointed because I did love it here.
