The Hidden Hazards
With deep regret, I share my experience with Two Blue Slip, a Brookfield property. Previously, I had a positive experience with Brookfield, making the disappointment here more stark. The transfer process was unnecessarily complex and prolonged, and their inconsistent reapplication process was puzzling. Despite having a guarantor (Rhino), they asked for a $500 security deposit, later refunded stating their oversight.
Upon moving, I found the apartment in an alarming condition. The bathroom was... unclean, the toilet paper holder was installed backward, and a hastily patched hole was near the bathroom door. The air filter needed replacement, and there were visible paint splatters and poorly installed flooring, indicating a rushed job.
The gravest concerns were the windows and the electrical outlets. The window required excessive force to operate, posing a safety hazard in a high-rise apartment. The misaligned electrical outlets made daily appliance usage a hazardous chore. Within two weeks of moving in, I experienced unusual respiratory issues, and my pet's health worsened.
Brookfield management has met my concerns with nonchalance, refusing even a tour of other units. Sadly, I'm paying a premium for a space riddled with safety hazards. I urge Brookfield to address these issues, ensuring a safe environment for all residents.

As long as you're already comfortable with the location and the price point, there are seriously zero downsides to living at Two Blue Slip. Reception staff is friendly, maintenance is quick to respond and the unit itself feels premium and built to last.
