Step inside, though and the noise falls away, quiet comfort settles in here as it has for nearly a century. Built as 6 large family… apartments in 1910 then divided into the current 13 many years back, these Elmwood village apartments show the sturdy construction of that bygone era - thick walls keep the rooms cool and apart from the life outside, beautiful floors show the same glow as they always have, and the list goes on. It is not without work, though. Careful upkeep and the constant consideration of Buffalo Management are working to keep it up for the next 100 years. The stone window sills were removed and re-cut as part of the restoration, the front entrance was rebuilt after it faced the elements for a century, it is this level of care that you see here.
