About 200 Water Street Apartments

Life at 200 Water Street promises stunning city and waterfront views that take your breath away. This 32-story Emory Roth & Sons-designed building is best known for its oversized residences and iconic 50' high digital clock created by Rudolph de... Harak.  Located across from the Seaport and steps from the chic eateries on quaint, cobblestoned Stone Street, 200 Water puts residents in immediate proximity of fine dining and shopping. The address is also two blocks from the Fulton Street transit hub and adjacent to the Financial District. Standing elegant and high, this unique statement of modern living is also a mainstay in the neighborhood. Originally built in 1971 as an office building, 200 Water was inspired by the principles of International Style of design championed by Philip Johnson, and was deliberately set back to allow for enhanced light and views.

If you like living in a college dorm...

I only gave it one star because it would not let me give ZERO. This apartment building is awful. 90% of the residents are college students and treat the building like their dorm. Only half of the elevators work, Living on one of the higher floors I have spent 7 minutes trying to get down to the lobby and if they are working reek of puke. Beer cans and garbage in the hallways. For the price, this building is not worth it at all.

worst nightmare

Avoid it, it is a nightmare! I would give it no star if I had that choice! The rooftop is as great as everyone says it is BUT That's because the rooftop is the building's one redeeming quality, but it doesn't make living there worth it. Why? The building overcrowded with many students bunking up, which means crowded elevators, gym and LOUD neighbors. Honestly only 2 elevators out of 4 work. doesn't matter east side or west side..both same. sometimes had to wait 15 mins for elevators. I could... hear the neighbors having sex and you can hear the partying throughout the unit when it's down the halls, as well as the sounds slamming doors, yelling,... They are college students and they yell all the time in lobby or hallways. I lived in upper level(floor 20) but still could hear cars on street even when the windows were closed. So, basically the walls are PAPER THIN WALLS! The gym is busy during rush hours, dry cleaning is expensive. Yeah, it's the worst place I have EVER lived. Hopefully I moved out few months ago. Well, even the doorman are so rude and angry! they are not well trained! they act like college students..This building is very expensive and a big disaster.

Amazing apartment

I have lived here for a month and I absolutely love it. It is affordable and has everything someone in their twenties could want. Such as, gym, laundry, doorman, and rooftop to die for. The rooftop is the number one reason to live here. I will definitely be resigning my lease and living here for at least two years.
