Honest First Impressions - Will UPDATE Review Accordingly
My recent move in was completely unsupported and disorganized. It took the front desk and handyman over 30 minutes to locate my keys. The service elevator broke down after one trip upstairs to my apartment, and I nearly got stuck in the elevator. Much to my relief, I was able to exit and the fire department was on the scene.
Of note, the building has four elevators - two are out of service. Therefore, there are only two elevators in use. I read prior reviews, and this was something I was... willing to live with, but I am sorely disappointed in the lack of organization and preparation for tenants moving in. Of concern, due to the Biltmore’s only having two functioning elevators, there are no such COVID safety measures being taken or enforced.
My communications with management and leasing leave quite a bit to be desired. Leasing was a little pushy, but was actually quite responsive during the initial process. The leasing manager, Oren, was professional in his email communication, but there was a member of his staff that demonstrated poor email etiquette.
My LARGEST GRIEVANCE is that prior to my lease signing, I was assured that my apartment would be professionally cleaned and turned over, as is expected. I notified leasing and management of a malfunctioning bathroom light (email was forwarded to property manager, Seth). However, I never received a response AND it was not fixed within the two week lease signing and move in date.
Instead, I moved in to a COMPLETELY FILTHY apartment that had not been touched since my visit. You could actually see footprints in the dust. I have pictures, and was honestly shocked and embarrassed that my family helped me move in to this ‘luxury’ apartment. An entire pack of swiffer wipes were not enough to clean. If I had been told that management was going to forego cleaning prior to a tenant move-in, I would have personally hired cleaners. Of note, my ‘new’ stove has a burner that will not ignite and I exposed myself to a significant amount of gas.
I was also promised a period of free amenities and an Amex gift card to offset moving costs. I was told I would receive communication once the gift card was sent out, but have not heard anything yet.
I will update this review with the property management's response to my work requests and when I receive a gift card and amenities access from Liliana/leasing admin.
I hope that these issues are rapidly resolved with tangible apologies, and that I will have a comfortable lease.

DO NOT MOVE! Terrible Mgmt
I have been living in this property for many years and for the last two years or so, it has been under a new management company - since then, all kinds of maintenance and requests have been unaddressed, the majority of the common areas have been closed and the worst of all - the whole building is under major renovation and the management is absolutely CARELESS.
Only one elevator works. 15+ tenants wait in line for over 15-20 minutes is common. There is dust everywhere and the noise during the... day is unbearable.
And when you e-mail the management company to complain, they simply ignore your email.
STAY AWAY. I'm moving out as soon as my lease is over.

Biltmore
It's a terrible building with terrible management and security. I left a bag for my friend to pick up with the front desk and a diamond bracelet was stolen from inside the bag. The management is terrible to get to and rude when you finally do get to them. I am moving ASAP.

Tiny space that feels larger than life
My apartment is 625sqft 1br/1bath. Tiny, right? But I live there with my wife and our child and still have room to spare for my pet alligator. Just kidding about the alligator. But we do have space for a nursery. Our open plan kitchen makes the living room seem bigger, as do the wall to wall windows. As does the 4,000 sqft terrace with a Japense garden and koi fish ponds. Actually, if I had that, I wouldn't be writing this review, hoping to win a year of rent. I'd be feeding grapes to my pet... baby giraffe.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, I highly recommend the building. It's got enough amenities for Ariana Grande, so it's good enough for me. That bit is actually true. If you want to see tweens sit on the sidewalk for 5 hours, texting each other, stop by my building when Ariana is in town. They should really get some summer jobs.
