Do not stay here if you want your security deposit back!
I lived at the Chrystie for two years and loved it for 1 year and 9 months of that time -- the management was exceptional, responsive, and cared about the tenants. Unfortunately, in the late spring of 2023, the management changed and they are TERRIBLE. Completely unresponsive, generally rude, and evasive. It says in our lease that we are supposed to get our very substantial security deposit back within 14 days of our lease ending, and it has been over 2 months and we have still not received it,... despite numerous emails and phone calls to management. They either don't respond, or they give an excuse for why they don't have it but can't explain further. Living in a doorman building is supposed to make your life easier, but I cannot recommend this building (or any that FS residential manages) because dealing with FS Residential management is a complete nightmare.
