I wish I listened

I was very excited to move to RI and chose Roosevelt Landings because it was affordable compared to the surrounding luxury apartment buildings. I understand the difference now that I have moved in. First there is no door man and for some reason the residents kept breaking the front door lock, so I would say at least 4 months of the year there was an unlocked front door. Also, there is no one to accept your packages. UPS and Fed Ex will not leave packages in unsecure area. Same with USPS... packages, and the post office closes at 5 so you can never pick up a package unless you take time off from work. A few residents ruin the building for everyone. There is constant trash in the hallways and people do not know how to properly throw out trash down the chute and instead there are piles of trash outside the trash room - very unsanitary esp since they don't bother to seal up the bags. The every day staff are super nice, but the office staff are rude and condescending. Finally the biggest problems are the ventilation system...marijuna is "semi legal" now in that police do not enforce laws. As a result there is a CONSTANT STRONG smell through out the hallway and right into the apartment. I've tried sealing up the apartment door as much as possible, bought all sorts of high end air purifiers nothing works. It is rather embarrassing going to work with your jacket smelling like pot because whatever they are smoking is that strong. Roosevelt Landings doesn't care about any of these problems. I read the reviews before I moved in and thought it was a few people complaining...not so. It is all true and now I learned my lesson and am waiting for my lease to run out.

An Apartment with a Million Dollar View and Renting for under $1680

Large picturesque windows with park views. Natural light, open concept kitchen with panorama view from kitchen to living room. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with ample storage space through out the apartment. Great neighborhood with lots of green space for picnics, jogging, riding your bike or just sitting by the river watching the boats go by. Of course I moved there in the late 1980's and now the rent for new comers are much higher.
