Disappointed — Looks Luxury, Lives Cheap
I recently moved into the building, and I’ll start by acknowledging that the front desk and maintenance teams are exceptional. They are consistently courteous, responsive, and professional — truly the best aspect of this property.
For the price point, I anticipated a more refined and respectful living environment. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. There is frequent smoking — including marijuana — in areas clearly designated as non-smoking, trash left in common spaces, and little regard... for quiet hours. The walls are extremely thin, and unusual noises at all hours make it difficult to enjoy any sense of peace or privacy.
I understand the property includes mixed-income units, and I fully support the intent behind that. However, it’s astonishing to me that a building at this price point can be so poorly managed that the overall living experience is diminished. The issue isn’t inclusion — it’s inconsistency. Management has failed to maintain the professionalism, accountability, and respect expected from a community positioned as “luxury.”
Having lived in more challenging neighborhoods throughout my childhood, teens, and mid-20s, I worked hard to reach a point in life where I could enjoy a quiet, well-maintained home. Unfortunately, many of the same frustrations I thought I had left behind have resurfaced here. If you are a working professional trying to get out of the city and looking for a more peaceful environment, this is not the place for you.
The physical quality of the building also leaves much to be desired. Despite the “luxury” branding, it’s clear that corners were cut during construction — from the appliances to the fixtures, much of it feels inexpensive and rushed.
Hopefully, I’ll still be around when this building and the neighborhood eventually turn around, because the potential is absolutely here — it’s just not quite there yet.
There are several other concerns I’ll refrain from listing, but in summary: the building is marketed as a Mercedes, yet living here feels much closer to driving a Nissan Altima.
