simply home!!!!!
My husband and I moved in to this high rise 11 years ago after we sold our home and could not have been happier. A neighborhood is not gaged by fences and lawns or concrete driveways that provide a barrier for people you never meet. We have 95 homes in a 9 floor building. We just a had a 85th birthday party /ice cream social ,open to the entire building,in our party room on the top floor. From college kids to her husband who is 96, many of us enjoyed her special day . Judy, I call her our... cruise director ,has entertainment almost every month, to catered Christmas dinners,to local folk with a special musical gift,to our flea market in September, with open kitchen," RICK,S CAFE"". Our newly remodeled lobby welcomes you to a heated garage,free laundry, and a spacious balcony in every apartment. Sadly ,Charles, my husband of 39 years passed away with cancer last year. I could have moved any where in Akron,but my memories are here,in these concrete walls , keeping me safe from harm,sometimes life is cold and harsh,but Highland Tower's holds me safe and warm,with my lifelong friends,I call this HOME.
