The Textile Building in downtown Cincinnati has a rich history dating back to its construction in 1906. Originally developed as part of a city initiative to centralize the city's dispersed garment and textile industries, the building was... purpose-built to support Cincinnati's growing manufacturing sector. Designed by local architect Gustav W. Drach, it is a striking example of Commercial and Renaissance Revival architecture, standing 12 stories tall and spanning over 213,000 square feet. Today, under the stewardship of The Bernstein Company, the building has been thoughtfully transformed into modern luxury residences now known as the Textile Apartments—while retaining its historic charm and architectural integrity.

Textile Apartments has a Basketball Court and rooftop. The units are cool with very tall ceilings and nice kitchens. The whole team provides excellent customer service!

WARNING TO POTENTIAL RESIDENTS. These apartments are extremely overpriced for what you get. It is a good location in the city, but once you see some of the sizes of the apartments you will realize it is not worth the cost. During my time living here, the managers continually changed hands. It became difficult to ever know who to contact for any needs and I ended up using the online portal to hopefully get a response. They promised plenty of social events when I moved in and ended up with one... ice cream social 10-2 pm on a workday in the middle of the week. They outsource HVAC costs and for your safety use it as minimally as possible or else you will be paying insane amounts per month. The grills on the roof never worked which was a selling point when moving in.
Moving out was a terrible experience. They never sent any move out letter or any information on what to do on move out day. They never responded to my move out notice marking that they ever even received it. I asked for a walk through to go over deductions off the security deposit with them to discuss charges, but due to never getting a response I wasn’t offered the chance to be present, resulting in extremely high charges that felt almost criminal. I spoke with the maintenance staff before moving out and was told to not worry about minor knicks on the wall from hanging stuff as that was normal wear and tear but ended up getting charged $750 for wall repairs. It will happen to you too if you think about hanging anything in your apartment.
Don’t fall for the tricks on your tour. What they promise is not what you get and be careful once they rope you in it will be hard to get out without getting charged. There are so many better options in Cincinnati, why overpay for Textile Apartments. Tour other places and go with those, I promise you will thank me in the long run.
