Mice Infested
I’ve Reported an issue with mice to landlord over a course of 8 months. Baiting has not worked. This week I seen them 3 days in a row!— Now They offered to let me out my lease after I told them I would call the health department or to tear out my kitchen cabinets. Both options are an inconvenience to me. It is extremely expensive to move—— they won’t help me with moving costs. The regional manager refused offering a 2 month rent concession so I can pay for moving costs after I emailed corporate... . They refused to reimburse me for needed storage I would need for my kitchen items while they tear out my cabinets. They refused the pest control preventative measure I recommended with having each home in the building prep— pulling everything away from walls, empty closets and cabinets to find and seal ALL holes with bait poison, steel wool, and foam. Then shaving foam after it sets to seal with caulking.
I am a clean tenant on the 3rd floor. They claim they want to make it right after I’ve lived with this for 8 months miserably by tearing out my cabinets. They claim they don’t have many complaints but I see a review for the same issue 1 month ago and 9 months ago from other tenants which is enough to consider an infestation! Tearing out my cabinets won’t fix the problem. Baiting the whole building won’t fix the problem if mice still have entry points to get in!
