Emerald Overlook Apartments

My sister moved there with her family, 2 months ago, since then, her air conditioning is not working, they still without air conditioning. They are not doing anything about it.

We JUST moved in less than 2 weeks ago and have had a HORRIBLE experience thus far!! Our first 2 nights, we went without lights because apparently a fuse blew and it took 2 days for the "24 hour maintenance" to come out. Needless to say, our groceries that we JUST BOUGHT went bad. When we initially told the "manager" she stated that there wasn't a phone number for maintenance and to leave a note in the rent box if we had any issues with the apartment. To put it simply, if you need maintenance... service over the weekend, you are out of luck since the office is closed on the weekends. Our lights went out during the week, and it STILL took 2 days to get anywhere with them. Then about 4 days later we seen 5 ROACHES within a couple of hours!! Baby roaches and a big one...oh and when we went looking for a possible source where they could be coming from, I seen a dead one.
DISGUSTING!! And to make matters worse, they have the NERVE to have vehicles that dont have parking permit stickers towed. I've discovered that they come in the middle of the night on Saturdays (Sunday mornings) as if the tenants aren't allowed to have company overnight on the weekend. They have a 24 hour guest parking area with 4 spots in which the EXACT SAME CARS ARE PARKED EVERYDAY. I'm sure they are friends or acquaintances of the so called manager since they have the privilege of parking there on the daily. No one is allowed to have company apparently after their guest parking hours of 8am-6pm (when people are less likely to have guest since those are working hours for many). No offense, but it seems like we moved into public housing without the CMHA police...maybe that's why it's right behind the welfare building. Needless to say, we are looking for another place to stay. If you want to live without roaches, have company as you please, and have a decent place to stay, DON'T LIVE HERE!! I just hope and pray we dont take any bugs with us when we leave this catastrophe of an apartment complex. I wish I didn't have to leave a star to review them. They get a 0 out of 5 from me! It seem to be so perfect and the property manager is just a hustler, believe "NOTHING SHE SAY UNLESS IT'S IN WRITING"!!!!!! And the roaches act more like they are the tenants.So, complaining won't HELP, You have to take care of that problem on your own. She won't get an exterminator out, cause SO busy. Yeah, collecting rent n watching cameras. So if u want a pest free environment and you want your privacy, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! AT THE END OF MY LEASE, IM OUT!!# NOreason2stay

This has to be the worst apartment complex ever if your neighbor have roaches you will have them the walls are very thin you can hear the water running in people's children running across the floor you can even hear people talking through the walls I have called the police multiple times about noise banging and domestic violence if I didn't have a cosigner I would have been left this apartment long time ago management doesn't do anything about the noise complaints you will just keep having to... call the police I would never live in an apartment again this has to be the worst apartment complex ever do not move here Read More

I lived here for a few years and from what I witnessed this place is terrible. They have roaches and bed bugs especially in the back. They advertise there upscale surveillance system but in reality it is a joke. We had a window busted out of our building and I had my car damaged by another car and there seemed to be no video. Why? Because it doesn't work! The management company is even worse they refuse to work with tenants on any of these issues. All they care about is the rent. There are only... a few parking spots for visitors, which are always taken by the drug dealers. No place for visitors to park. So if you enjoy bugs, damaged property and don't get any visitors this is the place could be the perfect price for you. Read More
