Great place but . . .

I lived here for two years, late 2020 to late 2022, and mostly enjoyed my time there, but there are some things to be aware of.

The rent rises every year with the reason given being water usage. The washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove all feel cheap, the washer being the worst of all. My washer would get off balance easily and start banging probably 50% of the time. That was a common joke among the tenants, and even the staff told me the appliances weren't the greatest. Lastly, speed bumps… were installed outside of my apartment. I wouldn't mind that except when a UPS or Amazon truck goes over those bumps, and those kinds of trucks are there every day, they're extremely noisy and will wake you up if you're trying to sleep in or have a third shift schedule. Even regular vehicles going over the bumps are loud.

On the plus side, the area feels safe which is saying something for Springfield. The other tenants are either kind or keep to themselves, and it's easy to meet new people. The pool is nice and well maintained and the clubhouse is spacious and comfortable. The maintenance man does a great job and is quick to respond to any issue. The property manager is professional and always had a quick answer to my questions. The apartments themselves are clean and didn't have any bugs. The heating and AC work well. The garage was more than big enough for my car, though my neighbor couldn't fully fit his big truck in his garage.

Overall I enjoyed my time here and would recommend Spring Meadow to anyone who can afford it.

Be Careful renting from this corporation

My wife and I have been renting from this place for over 3 years and have spent roughy over $36000 in rent during that time, never missing or being late on a payment. Over the last month my wife and I who just had a newborn baby, tested positive and been dealing with the Covid-19. As a result we were in quarantine and unable to sign paperwork for our puppy who we notified the previous manager about back in February with no further instruction. Being in quarantine and unable to sign the necessary… paperwork and not given any other option such as faxing or emailing it to them, my wife and I were left with a notice to leave the premises within 1 weeks time (two weeks prior to Christmas) or an eviction action would be taken against us. This was due to not being able to sign paperwork in their office due to being in quarantine due to testing positive for Covid-19. They showed no empathy or concern for their renters and if they were willing to do this to my wife and I with a newborn daughter at home 2 weeks before Christmas they will do this to any and all of their renters.

Many challenges that the Covid pandemic has presented have been fully met by Mid-Ohio Development in a positive and pro-resident fashion.

We take this resident's comments seriously, but they contain many unfair misrepresentations and inaccuracies and do not summarize the actual events. Mid-Ohio Development takes pride in its communities and residents and always strives to make the best ethical decisions. Not all what they claim to be......

My parent has lived here for about 3-4 years and every single year has to sign/renew a new lease. Every single time rent has gone up. I discussed this with other tenants and yes this is what Spring Meadow is known to do. Every year. Spring Meadow is pricing themselves into vacancies.
Although maintenance is very good about responding to any work that is needed. However they are horrible when it comes to protecting their residents against falls do to ice and snow removal.
The swimming pool is… too little for the size of the complex.

Unfortunately, as the cost of services rise, including utilities and other operating expenses, we must reevaluate rental rates on a regular basis. We strive to… maintain their home in optimum condition and to continue to provide all of our residents with the services they have become accustomed to and deserve.

Snow removal always depends on the amount of snow received and the timing of the storm in regards to the arrival of our contractor. Arrival time is never guaranteed, however our policy is as follows: street plowing at 2 inches of snow and sidewalks are shoveled/snowblown at 1 inch of snow. If your parent has a particular problem area that needs addressed they can always contact us and we can address the issue.

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us and rest assured we take them to heart. Our residents are our #1 priority.

Loved Spring Meadow!

I lived in Spring Meadow apartments, a one bedroom, for the first two years after my relocation to Ohio. I absolutely loved it! The apartments are fairly new and in great condition, the management was nice, as were all of the residents. Highly recommended!
