WARNING! DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE!!
Let’s start with the bugs! At LEAST once a week, I would kill one or two scutigera coleoptrata.. AKA: house centipedes! And not just randomly found in my apartment.. in the halls, the laundry room, the storage room.. they were always just everywhere and anywhere! And those disgusting 15 legged nasties weren’t the only infestation I’ve seen in my couple years of living here!! Rose Garden has also had bedbugs, cockroaches, gnats…
Now onto the “pristine” appliances!... Upon moving in, half the kitchen appliances/AC units in my apartment needed replaced because they didn’t work. Either the shared washer or dryer was broken about once a month..
The interior- The carpet I had looked like it was brown shag from the 60’s and felt/smelled like it hadn’t been washed since put down. (I’m no landlord, buuut aren’t they supposed to paint the walls and clean the carpets between each tenant’s move-out/move-in??) There were holes in the walls, the balcony looked like it was crumbling off, the door’s lock to the balcony didn’t lock.. all before moving in!
Oh. And, the entire building’s water is connected. It didn’t used to be. But ever since they switched from an electric to a gas water heater, any time someone in the entire building uses their water, it affects yours. So hopefully you love getting burned by scalding hot water every 12 seconds while taking showers!! And bonus! Since it’s a gas heater, guess what happens everytime the building’s power goes out? The hot water stops working altogether, and you have to wait until someone else can come and reset it for your building (which happened quite a lot.. like, everytime it stormed that building would lose power).
Their way of fixing anything is basically using duct tape, paperclips, rubber bands and gum instead of buying anything new.
