Loud and cheap

I’ve lived in truly sketchy places that were better insulated than this overpriced cement tomb. I can hear all my neighbors. I wake up to their alarms, I hear them yelling at their partners and their pets. I have rented Airbnb just to sleep. I can’t work from home because my job requires confidentiality and I can’t make a private call where I live. The property manager is unprofessional and obviously inexperienced. I have a maintenance issue from April when I first moved in. I am miserable here.

I love the apartment! Taken sight unseen with only a floor plan in hand, I thought it was even better than imagined. Tall ceilings, huge windows, great heating and a/c system, ceiling fan. Electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and washer/dryer have me humming. Also appreciate secure building with convenient elevator, mail area, and bike room.

My apartment feels like home. It is quiet and safe and it's very easy to live here. Can't beat it's location, either. Everyone in Portland knows the Salt and Straw.
