Darrin's Place Apartments

s a tenant for the past 3.5 years, I would like inform anyone looking at the photos and amenities that we do NOT have a clubhouse or pool. Instead, you'll find a lot of trash and dog poop scattered throughout the entire property and a gathering of houseless people right outside the entrance. Our car has been broken into multiple times. The management company running things is shady and the property manager is friendly but not very helpful. I would not recommend this place to anyone, but... especially not anyone with kids. We wanted to stay here until we could afford a house, but after switching management companies, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property has gone so downhill that we have to move. When trees fell and caused damage to cars and blocked walkways, they took their sweet time getting it cleared. A portion of the fence that lines the property had to be removed because of one of the trees falling and it's been 4 months and it's still not fixed. As a current resident, I can tell you that this complex is family-friendly. It helps that we're near a residential area and several schools. We love the location, despite the crime rate. It's close to everything and we love the park up the street! My only complaint is about the few neighbors that aren't very considerate of others and their space. We've had a few noice disturbances, trash being tossed off of the decks above us, and some packages stolen. Honestly, you can't pick your neighbors.... You may get lucky! The onsite manager and maintenance man are very friendly and helpful. They do the best that they can with what seems to be a pretty small team. These apartments inside are beautiful and when I firsted moved in here I felt blessed to be in something really affordable and really nice not to mention next to everything, super convenient location. Saying that I'm also going to say on the same hand this apartment complex is one of the scariest most dangeroius places to live. My husband's car was completely broken into and STOLEN. We got it back at a motel with NO TIRES and then 3 months later it happened again but this time they just raided... and stole everything out of the car by braking the window. On top of that the landlords purse was stolen out of her car in Broad daylight. Aside from that there's always really sketchy stuff happening. I can't even take my daughter for a walk around the block because there's nothing but criminals, car thieves, crackhead, junkies and scary people. DONT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR STOLEN OR BROKEN INTO. Overall it's just not a safe neiborhood AT all times you think yoour going to be robbed which people around here have been including myself. I have lived here for 15 years and yes there has been some ups and downs, but management is great, quiet neighborhood, don't let area fool you..parking can be limited, but overall I recommend this place!

I really wish I had nothing but positive things to say but unfortunately I do not! The management really tries and makes the appearance that they are trying to get things done but it turns into a waiting game, I know it's not the managements fault due to how entire Owned Properties by a corporation so the waiting game does not come from management yet the higher corporation end. In fact management is very nice and responds to noise complaints and garbage area in disarray and provides a list of... things to do when you move in to keep the place clean in case you don't know how! Not everybody is raised the same with same standards so they set a cleanliness standard that is great and keeps the place appearing clean. Moisture is an issue here not because of apt but because of surrounding trees and other tenants that don't care. Just the truth of how it has been. Pretty quiet overall other than train tracks that are 100ft away. Apts are very soundproof however and when closes can barely hear train blasting by. Read More
