Rimrock Apartments

My apartment had black mold growing initially, which I attempted to bring to the management's attention several times. Since they are always closed when they're supposed to be open, I attempted to leave several voicemails explaining the situation. After hearing nothing, I called the emergency number, informing them of the mold growing in my bathroom around the shower. They came over and inspected my unit, and let me know it wasn't of concern, but they would be back to "put in blockers" to combat… the issue. Needless to say, they never showed up on Monday. When I arrived home on Tuesday evening, I went into the bathroom and discovered additional mold, as well as worms coming from under the wall. I left a voicemail for them again that night and informed them of my findings, and told them I was concerned for my health. After I did not receive a response back, I called them 3 times on Wednesday, and they did not answer any of my calls. I left an additional voicemail on Thursday, and requested they call me. I waited for another day before hearing nothing. I went into the office in person, showing them photos of the apartment. The maintenance men returned, only to replace the wall behind the toilet (and not ever completing it) and breaking the fan in my bathroom as well. Every time I mentioned I needed the situation fixed, they would brush it off, and simply say it wasn't a health concern, and I was overreacting. I eventually got frustrated with the entire situation and decided I needed to move out, since management was not only mostly absent, but also rude and condescending. I went into the office and stated I would like to be out by the end of the month. I asked if I would be charged for rent for what would have been my 30 day notice, but the woman in the office told me it "should be fine." Lo and behold when I received my deposit check back, they deducted over $450 for "rent" for the time I had already been moved out. I went to discuss the matter in person, but they claimed that they never told me that I could leave, and refused to refund any money. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company or rental agency EVER. You can also hear every conversation and footstep your upstairs neighbor takes. Let's just say, hopefully your upstairs neighbors aren't a couple.
