High Energy Zone / Very Loud
First off I want to point out the staff are super friendly and helpful, I've never been anywhere else that had such great staff, 10/10 on that part. My negative is experience is mainly due to the location and environment, meaning it's highly subjective: My expectations of an apartment in this price range is peace and quiet, especially working night shift. The location of the complex is questionable, it's off two major roads in Salem; Cordon and State street—where you'll get your hourly share of... trashy mufflers and emergency response sirens. Depending on how close you are to the road, sometimes the apartment will shake from how loud it can get. Within the property has it's own problems. There's a trash compactor automates every time trash is thrown, frequent grinding of metal and running machinery. There's highly populated central pool area that gets very loud during summer. Again this is all subjective, some people have no issues with sound, some people are sound sensitive. I would consider the community high energy, you'll have kids run up and down your stairwell playing hide and seek, often yelling outside your window or door. Be careful driving, it's very compact and busy, you'll have kids on bikes come out of nowhere and guest spots are usually taken. I've had my designated parking spot taken four times during my year lease and Amazon package opened and stolen once. The construction is commercialized and thin, I've asked my neighbor if they could keep their dog down because of how loud it was. Some tips if your sound sensitive and planning on moving here; stay away from the road, trash compactor, pool area, and playground. Install a door camera if you get stuff delivered a lot.
