Great Landlord Special!

There is no communication, they don't keep up with the property, there's trash everywhere, pretty sure my building has foundation issues starting... Water is coming into the kitchen and we've been getting tons of milipeeds... We've had water leaking from the ceiling 4 separate times now and nothing is done to solve the problem. They just continue to say it's fine and nothing is wrong.

Zero Stars - Zero Accountability

On January 28th at 3:30am, our bedroom ceiling collapsed in on top of myself, my husband and our cats at our apartment at Shaler Highlands after days of leaking from the winter storm.

As of today, we still do not have a ceiling in our main bedroom, partial ceiling is missing in the living room and furnace room, additionally we are missing the dry wall on all of our rear facing outer walls within the apartment. This issue has also impacted 100 other units within the Shaler highlands complex… which include approx. 10 additional collapsed ceilings and 100+ units leaking.

It has been impossible to get in contact with the property owner, either personally or via lawyer, to determine a timeline of when the issues will be addressed/ resolved and / or the option to break the lease. Craig (PM) refuses to communicate via email and has explicitly started this to the attorney’s office.

Myself, my husband and our two cats are living in the spare bedroom as the unit is not safe for them to freely room due to the lack of drywall and open insulation within the walls / ceilings. Many units have been abandoned at this time and more people continue to move in unknowingly of the active issues in other units.

We’ve engaged the health / code department, who were here on Friday, February 27th to inspect our unit and another unit within the complex who reported their issues separately. The inspector stated the current state of the apartment will result in formal written notice to the property manager / owners as it is not currently up to code.

Great community and great staff

The community is a really comfortable place to live. It's calm and serene with a great staff that is courteous and friendly. The manager and office crew are pleasant to deal with. Keep it up!

Beautiful Spacious Apts

Shaler Highlands Apartment has really roomy and spacious units. I love the staff as they are really nice and helpful and respond to any needs. They make this place feel really nice!

Nice, Spacious and Lots of parking

Love living here with lots of green space and parking. The neighbors are great and friendly and this place is quiet. It's also really close to shopping which is really nice.
