The reality of Lakewood
Lakewood Hills Apartments is a relatively nice place to live. Although the price of utilities is astronomical without the ability to choose your own electricity provider, it is fine. Lakewood neglects to inform people that smoking does occur in the buildings. Past tenants are "grandfathered in," allowing other apartments to also smell of smoke. This was not disclosed upon moving in, and it was only disclosed after complaints about the smell. Additionally, the idea of reserved parking should be... just that; however, it is rarely enforced, and people constantly park in the spots reserved for them temporarily, which impedes tenants' ability to get into the places they pay for. The pet policy is lacking; people walk their pets on leashes long enough that they can and will jump onto other people, and there is no enforcement from the leasing office.
