No one care in this place.
This apartment is not returning my security deposit after 3 months from move out!
Took them more than 2 months and 10+ phone calls to send me a check that is not able to deposit.
Confirmed with bank that Metal Works rejected it! Still claiming it is my issue that I can not deposit the check and refuse to contact with me or pick up my phone call.
Email is not a thing for them, no one will reply.
Only 1/10 phone calls might be answered.
Made a appointment with leasing for tour and no one shows up... .
Leasing told me there is no fee for short term lease. The fee was told after I submit the application fee.
Avoid this place if you do not want to spend a one time “deposit” fee and deal with these mess.

Avoid at all costs
I had the misfortune of living in this building for 2 years. My experience with the first management company was tragic (e.g., terrible communication/collaboration with the owners to resolve issues, months to repair multiple leaks in my apartment, needing to involve L&I, inadequate building security with intruders and stolen packages). When I thought it couldn’t get worse, it did. Management transferred to a new company in May 2022. Almost 5 months later, they still do not have a designated... maintenance technician, an emergency on-call number that someone reliably picks up for (or at all from personal experience), basic building repairs (e.g., painting, replace torn roof furniture cushions, air filter replacements), or a team that has demonstrated the capability to adequately and professionally respond to concerns from tenants (e.g., blaming delays on other agents on the team not doing their job, extensive waiting for responses from the owners/warrantied products). Save yourself the frustration of living somewhere that never quite feels like home because of the neverending issues and questionable construction integrity.

Love this place!
I love my apartment here! The furnishings are great and the roof deck is great for a nice relaxing time. Excellent management who are very attentive when anything needed

Horrible management
This building LOOKS nice but once you move-in you realize how poor it is. Stairwell walls are either horribly dry-walled or the building is falling apart. The only amenity (roof deck) is not taken care of—always dirty and furniture often missing and thrown about. Maintenance managers blame residents for their own mistakes and give attitude over email. They take MONTHS to fulfill maintenance requests if ever. Building always stinks. Trash all outside building and in “lobby”. Very unsafe building.... Had random people on the street come in and steal packages, squat in units, and jiggle door handles. Told management about this and they didn’t care. Save your money and rent elsewhere.

Fake luxury
Looks like a luxury place but they have cut corners in several areas. Neighbors on all sides can be heard through poorly insulated walls. Hot water is erratic despite each unit having its own heater. I had multiple appliances not work and management/owners only acknowledged one of them. If you have a problem over the weekend, good luck because they’re totally hands of. It has all the downsides of a large building without any of the actual luxury features.

Property Manager at Metal Works responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are sorry to learn of your disappointment.
With regard to sound, the property has been insulated according to International Building Code (a standard higher than what is required by... Philadelphia). Yours is the first complaint we have received. As you mention, each unit has an individual hot water heater, significantly reducing the risk of hot water issues. Please report any water issue to property management and we will have it addressed. Likewise, please continue to report any issues with appliances. Property management has technicians on call 24 hours a day, including weekends. We sincerely hope your experience improves. Our goal is to have happy residents in our community.
