Never able to tour
I scheduled a tour with them and nobody ever arrived despite me confirming the time and date the day before. I was locked out and had no ability to call anyone because their office was closed. If the office was closed, why did they schedule a tour at that time? Just seems like poor management and a huge red flag to me already. We were only able to enter the lobby which looked very run down and old anyway.

Maintenance is Top-Tier
I’ve been renting at Wyndon Apartments for five years. As of this date, the factual info on Apartments.com gives a fair picture of this classic garden apartment complex. Features and amenities are relatively easy to compare, but one thing that’s hard for an apartment seeker to assess is the quality of upkeep. Although they predate today’s insulation standards, the Wyndon buildings are solidly constructed, and they’ve withstood the test of time. But just as in any type of housing, problems... needing expert attention now and then arise. Happily for residents, Marks & Co.’s handling of phoned-in maintenance requests is exceptionally good. An on-site superintendent is the first responder for true emergencies. A non-emergency request often leads to a visit from either the superintendent or a skilled trade professional the very next day. The trade professionals have deep experience with the fixtures, appliances, and construction of the apartments. They also have access to an inventory of supplies and replacement items sufficient to handle most situations. What’s more, they take great pride in their work. The result: most problems are resolved in a single visit, with scarcely a trace that anyone’s been in your apartment. Upkeep of living quarters is a part of life. But at the Wyndon you can rest easy knowing that the maintenance team will do their best to fix what’s wrong ASAP, allowing you to engage in your daily activities with minimal interruption.

Most value for your money
I have lived at the Wyndon for 3 years. After looking at MANY apartments in Lower Merion, these apartments give the most square footage for your money. My one bedroom is 911 sq ft (larger than most 2 bedrooms in the area), has beautiful hardwood flooring (actually re-finished very well), large windows and is in walking distance of almost everything you could ask for: right next door to the Wynnewood shopping plaza (DSW, Mad Mex, Giant, post office, etc), diagonal from the train station, one... block from Whole Foods, a three minute drive from Suburban Square & the Ardmore shopping district and approximately two to three minutes from City Ave. Every unit has a designated storage space in the basement, a washer and dryer (a rarity in most complexes) and some have updated kitchens and bathrooms. The dining room is so large in the one bedroom (11' x 13'), that many of us convert it into a second bedroom. Management is even willing to install doors for you to complete the room. Speaking of management, the maintenance crew here is wonderful and responds right away. The largest drawbacks of the apartments are the lack of an elevator (for those who have knee/hip issues), occasional lack of parking space (there's a designated grassy area where cars can park when space is short) and the old windows. They are definitely due for replacment. They allow a lot of dust in and are drafty. The good news is that heat (trash, water, etc) is covered through a flat utility bill ($90 for any 1 bedroom and $140 for 2 bedrooms). If you can handle a few inconveniences, this place is definitely more than worth it!
