Shady Oaks

I’ve lived here for going on 2 years and I’ve never had an issue. My neighbors are great, there’s the pool, gym, and basketball court for residents to use, and close to any store I can imagine on Rt 2. Highly recommend!

This place is like living in a hotel. The apartments are huge and beautiful. They have a vanity and walk-in closet. There's access to a pool and gym. The neighbors are as friendly and welcoming as the staff. I was in pure shock when I saw the apartment. You will not regret giving them a chance!!

My husband and I relocated from out of state for a job in RI. So we had to select an apartment from 600 miles away...at first, I thought Shady Oaks may be expensive, but we had no choice. Now that we have lived here, it's not at all expensive for what's included! (Heat, hot water, trash removal that isn't limited to a bag or two! Beautifully landscaped grounds, on site office with amazing maintenance thats always on top of things! And much more!) Our apartment has plenty of space and that's a... lot coming from a family of FIVE! I adore it! Its peaceful. My children love playing outside at the basketball court or the pool! Everything is very clean and quiet! Office staff is nice and will seemingly do anything for you! These apartments are very nice, well kept, and perfectly located. The complex is a small, six building community filled with people of all ages. A lot of whom are students, so the tenants are in a constant cycle. The staff is friendly and responsible, and send people immediately if there is any issue. There is newly reconstructed pool, a basketball court, and plenty of lounging space on the grounds. Not to mention the area itself is beautiful. The grass is green, the trees are shady, and the... gardens gorgeous. The buildings come with free heat and water, which is perfect during winter. They also have air conditioning units, most apartments have dishwashers, and there is a good selection of layouts to choose from.

The complex is located just off the West Warwick motor mile. This means there is an infinite selection of shops, restaurants, and activities. For someone who likes to get out and see the town, there are two theaters, two malls, dozens of shopping complexes, beaches close by, and best of all, a grocery store right across the street. So late night snacks are fully possible if you run out at home.

Now you would think that this would cause a lot of noise or ruckus, but that can't be any further from the truth. The buildings are located just off the side of a large hill which blocks almost all sound. So no traffic jams or motorcades will ever wake you up or disturb your mid-day dose of Netflix. It is close by to an airport, which may be a deciding factor for some in either direction, but luckily there is not a lot that passes over.

Overall, I think it is a very nice place to live. It can be a bit expensive to some, which may be my only complaint, but I think it was well worth the three years I have lived here. And it may actually be the best bang for your buck based on it's premium location. The only suggestion I would have is aim for a corner apartment on the top floor. They are the best. Less neighbors next to you, no neighbors above you, and you get plenty of light.

A year ago, I sold a house and moved to Shady Oaks Apts in West Warwick RI. It was the best decision I had made in a long time. The location is Perfect, near shopping yet set back off road and quiet. The Perfect floor plan, plenty of space with the feel of a master bedroom with dressing area and walk in closet, and the Perfect price, 2 bedrooms for the same price as 1 bedroom in neighboring city of Warwick. Come see Shady Oaks, you will be right at home, perfect home!!!
