Upon the original move in for my son we walked into a unit that was not clean. The bathroom was nasty. We had to remove trash left by the previous tenant. The carlet was stained and dirty, along with dirty window sills, door frames, mattress and walls. All of which was left for me to clean. When presented to the management at that time, I was given gloves to clean the unit. When asked about moving to another unit I was told by Maurice that unit would more than likely be worse than… what we already was assigned to. Chalked it up to vendor issues. No recourse was provided. First red flag. Future residents, be cautious. You will be fined for issues that you may have not caused all because you share a living space with people you may not even know.

Could it have been a better experience on both sides? Absolutely! However, the constant changes, new rules put into place, notifications limiting how many guests you can have at a time and miscommunication made the living experience unpleasant. From what I have seen at move out Auden will impose separate cleaning fees for your private bathroom, the unit itself and a cleaning fee for the common area. All charged to each tenant. It doesn’t matter if you in fact may have had to clean your unit to make it livable when you moved in. Not to mention the constant fines for the infamous valet trash service that was supposedly in place. Anyways, just sharing some of what the experience was over the years.
