Forestbrook Apartments and Townhomes

Moving into the apartment resulted in a severe respiratory infection. There were pupic hair on the walls when Moved in. The dishwasher had mold in I the bathtub was full of paint. The maintenance men came in tracking mud everywhere and the plumber track mud and scum in the bathtub and apartment. Roaches and other crawling and flying insects everywhere

I had serious issue and it was discovered by vendor came into my apartment . There was mold behind the stove, which is a serious health concern. Property Manager Ty who has only been here since this past summer 2023. She took my concern and in three days had this resolved. Installing new dry wall behind the stove and the rest of the apartment was searched for same thing. Nothing else was found. She also had them address some other things they found when inspecting the apartment. I can't say... enough for Ty and what she is doing at this complex to improve things for everyone. Professional and takes the community concerns very serious with resolution to the highest concern. Other improvements are being made like stairwells being fixed. I am ashamed to say I live in this disgusting place. Check the dumpster areas, DHEC should be called. No surprise there is a roach infestation. Neighbor also says bed bugs or fleas. Mold goes unmitigated. Still rent goes way up. -50 stars

This place is a joke. I'm writing this upon my 5th day without AC and they aren't coming for another 2 days to fix it, with no guaranteed fix date. Management is hopeless and any problems will be ignored until you put in too much effort on your part to get them to do anything. Noisy neighbors, gross outdoors, bug infestations, and the list goes on. Don't rent at Forestbrook Apartments. Don't let any of the renovations fool you, this is your worst option. We have had CONSTANT issues with our AC in apt 2815-29. They eventually replaced the inside unit and yet, like clockwork, our AC is not cooling the apartment. We've been here for 2.5 years and they just have not fixed it. When we put in a maintenance request, they take days to get to us. Today, Aug 29th, 2022, the front desk lady told us at 11am that if maintenance has not come to our unit by 5pm, give them a call. What she faild to mention is that they were going to be closed early with no... notice before 5pm. So she literally lied knowing no one would be there. This is just one example of the many months of issues about our AC, and about horrible support from the office people. If they ever try to sell you on Apartment 2815-29, DO NOT SIGN THAT LEASE.
