Miserable experience
I have had nothing but issues since moving into this apartment complex. Over the course of my lease, I’ve dealt with ongoing maintenance problems, including being without air conditioning for 28 days, repeated leaks that were never properly resolved, and now mold caused by ongoing water damage.
The latest issue has been the most frustrating. Management is now claiming that I didn’t report my wet carpet as an emergency quickly enough, and because of that, they’re saying I’m liable and refusing... to allow me to transfer to a different unit. This makes no sense considering I’ve been reporting recurring leaks and HVAC issues for months.
As of today, it has been 8 days since I first reported the mold and water issue, and after going to the office and being told I cannot transfer units, I’m now being told I have to continue waiting for maintenance to come back to my apartment. Meanwhile, I’m expected to continue living in a unit with unresolved water damage and mold.
Communication has also been extremely poor. Calls and emails often go unanswered, and I have had to repeatedly follow up just to get updates. I genuinely wanted to enjoy living here, but after months of unresolved maintenance issues, inconsistent communication, and now being denied a transfer based on a claim that doesn’t reflect the history of these ongoing problems, I cannot recommend living here. I hope management starts taking residents’ maintenance concerns seriously, takes accountability for ongoing maintenance failures, and treats residents with the respect they deserve.
