Maintenance Concerns
I was genuinely excited to move into The Highlands at the Lake, but that quickly changed after move-in.
My unit was not fully ready despite being told all maintenance items would be completed beforehand. I moved in on April 13th and immediately discovered multiple unresolved issues including a non-working dishwasher, oven vent, ice maker, oven light, flashing electrical fixtures, low fire alarm battery, bathtub repairs needed, and a wasp nest on the balcony.
It has now been a month since... move-in, over two weeks since a missed maintenance appointment, and more than a week with no response after follow-up attempts. I was also told maintenance would be sent again, but no one ever showed up.
Rent is due soon, and it is extremely concerning to be expected to pay full rent for a unit that is still not fully functional and has not been properly maintained or completed since move-in.
At this point, I am still waiting for these issues to be resolved and for better communication and follow-through from management.
