I am warning you: STAY AWAY!
Years before I leased a unit here, my mother leased a unit under the previous owners and all was well.
Sadly, when Steadfast Management purchased the property, everything took a turn downhill.
The community became very sketchy. There are many suspicious and questionable people who roam the grounds. Numerous times, I have found people smoking drugs openly in the parking lot. I felt uneasy. Drivers who enter through the gates are often aggressive and blare loud music.
When I confronted the... office staff about suspicious people, they began to retaliate against me. Suddenly, tasks that maintenence would handle before became tasks the manager claimed they couldn't do. For example, the manager claimed maintenence crews could no longer power wash the bird droppings off the patio left by the bird nests in the rafters. When I questioned the maintenence crew about it, they claimed this IS something they normally do and they didn't know why the manager told me this. Other requests for pest control went ignored.
Less than three months prior to an election, I had insignia within my window. I figured this was acceptable because other tenants had large inflatables and other decorations on their patios. I was issued a lease violation due to a "drapes" violation.
I received petty lease violations while other rules were never enforced with other tenants. For example, the grounds were often littered with dog droppings and cleanliness was often not maintained.
Tenants here are nickled and dimed for everything, including a mandatory valet trash fee where collectors conveniently pick up trash bags at your front door. I was never explained this when I signed my lease and I was unable to opt out, despite my willingness to take my own trash to the dumpster myself. The first red flag should have occurred when the leasing staff didn't walk with me through the contract, and instead, guided me to a computer lab to review and sign it alone.
Needless to say, I am glad my lease is over. Rent here is outrageous, add-on fees are ridiculous, and the staff is rude and retaliatory.
