Cottages at Cades Cove

Like another recent reviewer, we’re very happy to be long-term residents in the community! We divide our time between our apartment here and our Florida residence. Occasionally we’ve had to call on the property management to check on our apartment during a weather event while we’re away. They have always responded to our requests promptly, with courtesy and — importantly — with follow-up messages. Knowing we can count on the managers and the capable and courteous maintenance staff gives us... incredible peace of mind, whether we’re here or away. Without exception, the Property Manager and her staff all somehow exercise their responsibilities with impeccable professionalism and competence, while creating a genuinely friendly and welcoming atmosphere for their residents. These are rare qualities to find anywhere in our experience! And the residents seem to respond to that atmosphere in kind. Whether at an organized community event, or on a walk around the immaculately maintained grounds, the residents are invariably friendly and courteous. We loved the Cottages! The office staff were amazing and always super helpful. They always loved on our dog Metro! The grounds, pool area, and gym were great and well maintained. We loved living here and made a lot of friends along the way! Highly recommend these apartments!

I’ve been a resident at Cades Cove for roughly five years and can’t speak highly enough of this community enclave. The grounds are well maintained and manicured at all times by a third party landscaper. The maintenance crew are highly specialized and responsive to all maintenance needs and conduct their business with a friendly smile. The property team are pleasant, knowledgable and professional. They often engage the community with fun activities, such as clubhouse gatherings, pizza... parties, cookouts, contests and raffles.

As I mentioned, the grounds are well maintained and clean. The apartments are comfortable, spacious and cozy. The amenities include a beautiful swimming pool, treated and maintained year round. In addition, there’s a small exercise room equipped with weights, treadmills and stair masters. There are outdoor grills for community use, a large gazebo, a corn hole set and a dog park. The staff are huge dog lovers and always provide treats for those dog owners stopping in to the club house to mingle with our trusted staff.

Last, the tenants residing at Cades Cove are a diverse group of folks ranging from young professionals, to working families to retirees (like myself) who coalesce around each other, to make our community safe, pleasant and fun to live here. Read More

I lived at this location for 3 years. When I first arrived, everything seemed to be good. Everything was nice and clean and staff was friendly.
I won't go into too much detail about most of that time as it was just a few little things. The main reason for writing this review is to let others know of the dishonesty of this business and to protect yourselves vigorously by keeping detailed records of every interaction with them. It will not matter that they were aware of the situation or not as... they never note accounts after being asked to and decide to have selective memory at a moments' notice.
Back in early May of 2024, there was a fire that occurred in one of the apartments that were in my building (I want to apologize to the tenants for having to bring this up, complaint about the company requires it). The sprinkler systems went off and thoroughly soaked that apartment. The water from the sprinkler system flooded the downstairs apartments adjacent to it. I had a one bedroom studio apartment that was on the second floor but the staircase led down to the first story where my front door was. Water was running out from underneath my staircase and out my front door. I had emergency personnel tell me that they were required to enter my apartment and check the second floor to ensure no damage was taking place. Long story short, the emergency personnel tracked dirt and grime up and down my staircase. When the manager and assistant property manager both showed up, they had a dehumidifier delivered to pull up all the water which I had to personally empty for over a week. During that conversation, the stairs were discussed and let them know then that the stairs should not be responsibility, to which they agreed. I asked them to note my file (my fault for not looking over their shoulder to make sure they did their job) and thought this was a done deal. When I moved out, they came back and charged my for the staircase. I argued with them but they chose to have selective memory about the situation and charged me anyway. This is the deception I am referring to as I should not have been charged for the staircase. It's not about the money, it is about the deception. Do not trust these people ever, no matter how nice they seem to be. The very people I was speaking with were the very same people that were there for the conversation but suddenly had selective memory and told me to show my proof.
