The Roosevelt Arlington Commons

This complex has non functioning elevators, their access control doors are broken and unsecure, men urinate in the parking garage, you’re required to pay for valet trash with only a two hour window to have your trash next to your door without getting fined, except that window does not account for people who work night shift, causing them to pay fines and fees for a service they’re not allowed to use. They aggressively tow both residents and visitors cars.

This apartment is good! the Office Rep. Onisha, really takes care of the people that lives here. Maintenace is good with getting back to tenants as well. When there is a problem and its reported, with allowing the staff time to get to the issue they are really good with getting back to you.

Prior management took care of the tenants. New management could care less. Trash is everywhere, exterior doors either lock everyone out or are broken. Garage doors are constantly broken. Cars get broken into, fire alarms go off due to broken water pipes and requests for maintenance take weeks to fix. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

This apartment complex has consistently charged me on all aspects of living here that should have been in the preview of their responsibility. For example, when I moved in there was a non-functioning water filter in the refrigerator, but they charged me $40 dollars to replace it, and they didn't even let me know there was a charge until after the work was performed (I could have done it myself in 10 minutes for a few dollars). In addition, they did not repair an access gate to our apartment... since day 1 I moved in. After which they charged me for early termination without even trying to find another resident. This entire company is trying to skim every dollar out of their residents they can get, and they charge for EVERYTHING. Not only that they continue to provide subpar construction (I can hear everything through the walls and the floors) so it is not a quiet environment to live in for sure. Pros- Nice apartment with minimal/ as expected noise levels. Very convenient location for me personally.

Cons- It’s July and there are still rotting/dead plants that haven’t been cleared away from the ice storm in February. There’s a ton of dog poop everywhere. It’s a leasing violation, and I’m sure the office enforces fines, but people must not be reporting their neighbors. You can’t walk five feet without seeing dog poop. That’s how bad it is. Management makes no attempt to pick it up on... behalf of these filthy residents either. As a conscientious dog owner this is a deal breaker for me, so I will have to move when my lease is up.
