Lame
I have been extremely flexible and patient with this complex, but having my car towed from the parking garage was the final straw.
My car was parked inside the apartment parking garage, which had plenty of open parking spaces. I was already in the system with the same make and model of my vehicle. The only issue was that I had recently updated my license plates. Instead of taking a moment to verify the updated information or contact me, my car was towed.
From my perspective, this felt less like... legitimate parking enforcement and more like an opportunity to make money off a resident. What makes this even more frustrating is that management has been completely unwilling to take responsibility or do anything to help after the fact, essentially acting like they have no control over what happened when I know, for a fact, they watch the cameras and wait for the opportunity to tow somebody.
And unfortunately, the towing situation is just one example of the problems at this property.
• Fire alarms go off constantly.
• Doors frequently do not work properly.
• Elevators are routinely broken, which is especially concerning from an accessibility and disability standpoint.
• The pool has been closed for months at a time during the summer.
• There is dog waste everywhere around the property.
• Basic maintenance and building issues continue to go unresolved.
I have been understanding and flexible about all of these issues because I understand that things happen. But after everything, to have my car towed from the garage over an updated license plate, despite my vehicle information already being in the system.
We should not have to worry about being treated as a source of towing revenue while basic property issues remain unresolved.
