Markham At Lakeline

I’ve lived at Markham Lakeline for about three years now, and overall it has been a great place to call home. The community is very well maintained, and even though it’s over 10 years old, it continues to be kept in excellent condition. I love having an attached two-car garage and the spacious, functional floor plan. I’ve also had very few maintenance issues during my time here!

I’ve been at the Markham for 2 complex name changes now. The price and amenities (namely the garage on each unit) is a huge plus. The few times I’ve had a service issue - they’ve been pretty prompt so I can’t complain there like some of the other reviews.

The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is due to some questionable decisions. Namely having one trash compactor for the entire complex (which people who aren’t used to makes them quickly get pretty ugly and nasty), same with having one… random electric car charging station. I’m not sure if this is the latest mgmt trying to get some benefits from the city but they don’t seem worth the price (especially the garbage change).


Overall I enjoy it here otherwise I’d leave so it’s a solid complex. Read More

The complex looks nice however, after living in this complex for 2.5 years I've submitted so many work orders because the complex is older so keep that in mind. I have never stayed somewhere that I have to consistently put in work orders. Although, with as many work orders that is put in maintenance team is always responsive when putting in work orders. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors and even people outside so I wouldn't recommend if you like peace. I would also like to add… that the property manager Teresa is very unprofessional and doesn't know how to talk to residents. There are also unnecessary fees added to the rent monthly that some residents don't use. Anytime a light bulb goes out they expect for you to provide the light bulb or you can pay their fee and maintenance will come and replace. I’ve lived at this property for years but things have really went downhill since the new management has taken over. We renewed our lease a few months ago thinking it would change but that isn’t a the case.

The paid for garbage valet is inconsistent which caused us a HUGE any problem. My family was constantly bitten throughout the summer.

With the ice storm there were fallen trees that were just left there to rot even after the weather turned hot. It’s just not the general look you want for a… property you live in.

The estimated community water bills and community fees total up to a few extra hundred a month

The maintenance team while responsive, never actually complete work orders.

With construction happening across the street we’ve popped 3 tires over the last year with random screws and nails when coming into the property.

Overall the above didn’t exist we would still move because the buildings are nice inside but dated. We will be moving to one of the surrounding new properties built in our area if the timing matches up with our lease ending.
