So many issues and poor management
I moved into The Braxton at the end of August, and my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. Within the first week of moving in, I faced multiple issues: the AC did not work for several days, my door lock malfunctioned and I was locked out twice in a row, my unit was infested with German roaches, and a cracked pipe in the AC system caused water to leak into my bedroom. On top of that, communication with management was slow and unreliable.
The most serious and ongoing problem has been the... roach infestation. Despite multiple pest control visits, I continue to find roaches not only in the kitchen but also in the living room and bathroom. This is not an isolated issue — one of my neighbors reported the same problem, making it clear this is a building-wide infestation. For someone who specifically chose this property expecting a clean and well-maintained apartment, this has been extremely stressful and disappointing.
What makes matters worse is how management has handled these issues. Timelines they set themselves were not met, updates only came when I followed up, and at one point they unilaterally declared my problems “resolved” when they clearly were not. I even requested to speak directly with ownership, but that request has been ignored.
I can understand that maintenance issues can happen in any property, but the combination of uninhabitable living conditions and dismissive management practices has made living here exhausting. I regret signing a lease at The Braxton and strongly caution anyone considering moving here to think twice.
