Would NOT recommend
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the Flats at Frankford Station as a place to live. In the short time that I’ve been here, I’ve noticed a growing amount of issues. Imagine paying for “luxury” and having to walk up 4 flights of stairs with groceries because the elevator has been out for several weeks in addition to hearing that multiple residents have been stuck in elevators for extended periods of time with nothing done about it. I can’t imagine that happening to me while having my child with... me. The list goes on from there. Sometimes the entry gates are hard to open as if they are jammed and you have to keep yanking on them to finally get them to open. Some of the stairway doors barely open from the outside without a fight and are clearly outdated. The fire alarms will go off every once in a while for some unknown reason which is the worst when you have a sleeping baby or you’re trying to get work done. It happens far more frequently than what I would consider as routine testing but no explanation is given. Not to mention there’s no good incentives for retaining current residents. There seems to only be a focus on getting new residents in and the turnover rate appears to be high because I see residents moving out as quickly as moving in. They’ll paint doors with a new coat of paint when residents move out so the door will look shiny and new for when the next resident moves in, giving them that “brand new” feel while the other doors still look dull. I feel as though I was sold a dream. For the cost of rent here and fees, there’s surely better apartment complexes out there that I’ll be considering before my renewal.
